Workshop 2 (2010): Communicative language teaching

Wednesday, 26 May 2010, 6-8 PM
Meeting Rooms
Level 2, 180 London Circuit, Canberra City

Topic: “Communicative language teaching: Methods and techniques used in the Australian context”

In this interactive workshop we want to explore methods and techniques that allow our students to be actively involved in their learning. We will also look at the main principles in communicative language teaching and will develop ideas how to apply (some of) these principles in the ethnic schools context.

This workshop is particularly suitable for teachers who have not attended earlier workshops. It is also of great interest for those who have attended last year’s workshops but wish to refresh their knowledge about communicative language teaching.

In all workshops we share our experience and ideas and receive feedback in a friendly and supportive environment. We exchange and discuss our experience and develop new ideas about appropriate materials and how to use them.

There are drinks on arrival as well as drinks and nibbles provided midway through the session.
