Japanese Language School

On 4th July, the Japanese Supplementary School held one of its annual events, “Mochitsuki Taikai”. ‘Mochitsuki’ is a traditional Japanese- ‘mochi’- (Japanese sticky rice cake)- pounding activity. Besides being an incredibly fun way to spend a day with friends and family, participants enjoyed the freshly made mochi. We enjoyed mochi with anko (sweet bean paste), kinako (soybean flour), soy sauce and wrapped with nori, natto (fermented soy beans) and grated white radish.
